CASE is...

Assisting CASE in its work in Columbia are two organizations:

• Peers Advocating Smoke-free Solutions (PASS) is a student-run organization based at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

• Smoke-Free Air for Everyone (SAFE) is a group of Boone County residents working to improve the health of the community by lessening the negative impacts of tobacco.

Welcome

CASE, or Campus-Community Alliances for Smoke-Free Environments, is a group of experts working to improve the health of Missourians by reducing secondhand smoke. We welcome you to explore what we do, who we partner with and how our website might benefit you or your organization.

Connect with Others
The CASE website will introduce and connect you to groups in university campuses and local communities who are dedicated to making Missouri a healthier place to live (view map of Campus Community Alliances). It will also give you key information on the health effects of secondhand smoke and resources you can turn to if you are a smoker who's thinking about quitting.

Getting Started
If you're a member of our campus or community alliances, you can find strategic communication resources to achieve your goals, materials created by your peers from other campuses and communities, a blog to connect you others working on the project, an opportunity to consult with our experts, in-depth research on smoking and much more. To get started, click on the link "Member Toolbox." You'll note that this section is password protected and for "Members Only." If you are a member and need a password, please contact your Campus-Community Coordinator (CCC) listed under your town or a town near you (see the People link) or Tiffany Bowman, a member of our CASE team at tsbrg3@mizzou.edu. If you are thinking of becoming a member of CASE, please take a moment to fill out our new membership form.

Non-members
If you're a member of the media, you can find out about CASE's exciting projects and latest activities. We also have a section devoted to CASE in the news, tobacco-related events in Missouri, facts about secondhand smoke and more.
