Breathe Easy Kirksville promotes the right of all citizens to breathe clean, smokefree air and live free from addiction to tobacco products. To this end, we work to...

• Prevent youth initiation of tobacco use;
• Increase quitting among youth & adults and
• Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke. This goal is met by:
• Educating about the dangers of exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke;
• Encouraging citizens to insist on smokefree when choosing a business to patronize and refrain from tobacco use in public places;
• Advocating for the elimination of smoking in all public areas and
• Supporting the development and enforcement of smokefree policies.
