- prevent youth initiation of tobacco use;
- increase quitting among youth & adults;
- eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke. This goal is met by:
- educating about the dangers of exposure to secondhand smoke;
- encouraging citizens to insist on smoke-free environments when choosing a business to patronize and refrain from tobacco use in public places;
- advocating for the elimination of smoking in all public areas and
- supporting the development and enforcement of smoke-free policies.
