The Missouri Tobacco Quitline


Details: The Quitline can assist tobacco users in any stage of readiness to quit, pregnant smokers, smokeless tobacco users, former smokers seeking relapse prevention support, and health care providers wanting assistance with patient treatment.

Hours of operation: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily

Columbia/Boone County Health Department

Details: Four brief smoking cessation counseling sessions and 8 weeks of free nicotine patches.

ALA Freedom from Smoking


Location: University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and University Hospital Quarterdeck
Details: 7-week group smoking cessation program, quit at 3rd session
Cost: $50 for all materials (one-time fee, can retake class)

Smoke Stoppers


Location: Boone Hospital Center/Wellaware
Details: 4-week group smoking cessation program. Individual sessions offered for $150 a person. Call if wanting to do a couple session.
Cost: $85 for all materials (one-time fee, can retake class) or $100 per couple.

Details: Individual health counseling for smoking/tobacco cessation
Cost: Covered by the pre-paid health fee for MU students only, includes a manual & unlimited sessions
