Tobacco Ordinance Successes in the United States


Clean indoor air advocates have enjoyed success all over the United States and the world. To date, 19 states have enacted clean indoor air legislation. Many other individual cities and counties have implemented their own ordinances.

Arizona
Arizona enacted a state-wide smoking ban on May 1, 2007, which covered indoor workplaces and public places, including restaurants and bars.

Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee signed the statewide Arkansas Clean Indoor Air Act in April of 2006.
