Petya Eckler

Petya Eckler is a graduate research assistant at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She received her bachelor's in journalism and political science from American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) and a master's in journalism from the University of Missouri. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in health communication. Petya has worked as a reporter, copy editor, health writer, assistant editor and managing editor for publications in the United States and Bulgaria. She has also served as the public relations officer of AUBG where she coordinated media appearances for university students, faculty and staff, organized special events and served as liaison between the local community and the university.
