Shelly Rodgers, Ph.D., is one of the leading experts on Internet health advertising, marketing and communications. Her research focuses on advertising processes and practices, advertising effects and content, and the advertising of controversial products, including tobacco. Rodgers' professional experience includes full-time work at the Miller Friendt Ludemann advertising agency in Lincoln, Neb., where she worked as an account liaison for clients like Pepsi and (then) Governor Kay Orr. Rodgers has served as a research consultant to a number of organizations, including Opus Web Technologies, Koch Industries, St. John's Mercy Medical Center and Tucson Transportation. She has conducted research for media organizations such as the Los Angeles Times, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and San Jose Mercury News.
