Erin Schauster is a doctoral student in advertising and ethics at the Missouri School of Journalism. She received her bachelor's in journalism at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, while working at the Daily Egyptian as an advertising representative and production artist. Upon graduation, Erin worked for a St. Louis advertising agency, where she conducted new business research and account management. In 2004, she began her master's in mass communications at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. During graduate school, Erin received grant money to travel and conduct one-on-one interviews with account planners at several agencies in New York City. After graduate school, Erin worked as an account executive in advertising agencies in St. Louis, MO and Nashville, TN. In her spare time, she enjoys to hike, bike, run, rock-climb, ski and travel.
